Abbey Meditation Center Reuse
The competition brief was to reuse the Abbey, that dates back to the 11th century, as a meditation center that can accommodate people for art performances, yoga, workshops, and other kinds of meditation sessions, integrated with other associated amenities. The design utilizes a light-weight steel framework with tensile roofing to create ethereal spaces while allowing nature to take over, promoting harmony between the environment and its users through elements like dew catchers, living walls, water features, and earthen flooring.
